Chula Engineering faculty members and students with AIT’s PhD student won the Gold Medal, TISIAS Special Award, and TUMMIAD Special Award from iCAN2024
On August 24, 2024, the Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS), Canada, hosted the 9th Annual Edition of the International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN 2024). The event saw participation from innovators 50 countries and regions from around the world.
The project titled “Exploring Human’s Decision Making in Tsunami Disaster Evacuation using Virtual Reality,” by Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Associate Professor, Department of Industrial Engineering, Chula Engineering), Dr. Jing Tang (Lecturer, International School of Engineering (ISE), Chula Engineering), Mr. Kao Jongsaratis and Mr. Thachapong Chumpasiri (Undergraduate students, Department of Industrial Engineering, Chula Engineering), and Mr. Nattapon Trumikaborworn (Ph.D. student, Asian Institute of Technology), won the Gold Medal at iCAN 2024. Additionally, this innovative project received the TISIAS Special Award from the Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills, and the TUMMIAD Special Award from the Turkish Inventors Association, Turkey.
