On June 5, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), hosted the International Senior Project Conference 2025 (ISPC 2025) in Bangkok, Thailand.
A team of undergraduate students from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University including Mr. Isoon Chanchongkham, Mr. Prarunchai Ruttanaprasert, and Mr. Teerawat Riensuwon, presented their engineering project, “Finding the Building Fire Evacuation Strategy Improvement through Agent-based Simulation.” Their research, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University), and Dr. Jing Tang (Lecturer at the International School of Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University), explores the use of simulation modeling to optimize fire evacuation strategies and enhance emergency preparedness.
With their compelling presentation, the team earned the Best Presentation Award at ISPC 2025, marking a significant achievement in applying engineering principles to real-world safety challenges.
